A portrait for Vs. The Matador, a response to Seattle Art Museum’s Picasso show
SOIL, an artist-run gallery in Seattle, asked a bunch of artists to contribute small, affordable works for a December show. The installation was an elaborate satire on masterpiece preciousness and museum security. My buddy Troy surprised me with his inclusion of this portrait of me and my dear cat Ra, drawn in the style of the master‘s cubist practice. In the show, he included a limited edition stack of prints, and gifted me the original.
